Lucy Black Humanist Celebrant

Being a celebrant means the world to me and I have learnt so much about life, about human beings and about compassion.
I conduct legal weddings around Scotland, naming days and vow renewals.
I build friendships with my couples and families, learn all about their life journeys and I am 100% dedicated to my job.
I love my meetings with my couples, learning all about their relationship, how they met, their adventures together, their hopes and desires for their future together, and then writing up a bespoke ceremony to reflect their personalities.
I love explaining what all the different symbolic gestures mean and witnessing the couples’ excitement when they tell me about the band, the venue, the cake, and all the elements that make their day special to them.
